Tips and Solutions

Most stains can be completely removed from your garments, preserving their good look and increasing their lifetime. Stains are just a chemical reaction between the staining material and the fiber of the fabrics finishing coating. Since there are many types of fabrics, no single product can remove all types of stains. We have developed a set of instructions to help you remove various stains. If you follow these instructions carefully, and act before the stain dries, you will stand greater chance of success.   • Sponge stain area with warm water solution in which you have added a small quantity of white vinegar.
  • Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part.
  • Rinse thoroughly with cold water.
  • Wash garment as usual with myPlanet washing powder.
  • Treat the stain as soon as possible and don’t use hot water to remove it.
  • If the stain is still fresh, remove it under cold running water.
  • If the stain remains or if it is old, soak the cloth in a plastic container with cold salt solution prepared by dissolving 2 tablespoons of salt per liter of water, for 2-3 hours. During this period, keep renewing the salty water until it becomes clear.
  • Then wash the cloth in the washer, using myPlanet washing powder detergent.
  • Place your garment in a plastic bag and put it inside the freezer until the gum becomes quite hard.
  • Break the gum’s surface into small pieces and remove them carefully using tweezers. Pay extra care when treating a knitted fabric not to pull any threads.
  • If gum still remains, remove it by pressing a clean cloth dampened with a few drops of cleaning benzine or eucalyptus oil. Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part
  • Wash garment as usual with myPlanet detergent, at the temperature allowed by the care label.
  • Soak garment overnight in 5 liters of a wash solution prepared by dissolving 1 scoop/cup of detergent in water at the temperature allowed by the care label. Ensure that the fabric’s color does not come off. Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part.
  • Wash garment with myPlanet washing powder, at the temperature allowed by the care label.
  • Flush the stain out under cold running water and then wash the garment with myPlanet washing powder.
  • If the stain is big and remains after you rinse it with water, let the garment soak for half an hour in a wash solution prepared by dissolving 1 scoop/cup of myPlanet washing powder in water at the temperature allowed by the care label. Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part.

  • Place the stained area from its backside under cold running water to wash off the stain. Soak the cloth overnight in 5 liters of wash solution prepared by dissolving 1 scoop/cup of myPlanet detergent in water, at the temperature allowed by the care label.
  • Wash garment as usual with myPlanet detergent, at the temperature allowed by the care label.
  • Check the garment for colorfastness, at all stages, by testing on an inconspicuous part.
  • Prepare a cleaning solution by dissolving a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid in a cup of warm water in which you have added 3-4 drops of ammonia. Wipe the stain with a water-dampened cloth.
  • Wet an absorbing cloth with the cleaning solution, squeeze it lightly, and place it on the stain. Press a new cloth on the stain every five minutes. Rinse with water. With another absorbing cloth soaked in clean alcohol, remove the stain. Change the cloth as long as it continues to remove the stain. Rinse with alcohol and let it dry. -Prepare a second cleaning solution by dissolving a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid in a cup of warm water in which you have added 3-4 drops of white vinegar. Wipe the stain with a water-dampened cloth.
  • Wet another absorbing cloth with the second cleaning solution, squeeze it lightly and place it on the stain. Press a new cloth on the stain every five minutes. Rinse with water and let it dry.
  • Wash as usual.
  • Pre-treat the stain by rubbing it lightly with myPlanet washing liquid.
  • Wash the garment immediately at the temperature allowed by the clothes care label.
  • If the stain persists immerse the stained part in 1% ammonia water solution for 3-5 seconds and then wash it immediately with myPlanet laundry liquid.
  • Soak garment overnight in 5 liters of wash solution prepared by dissolving 1 scoop/cup of myPlanet washing powder in water
  • Before washing check the temperature allowed by the care label.

If the stain remains, soak the cloth overnight in 5 liters of wash solution prepared by dissolving 1 scoop/cup of myPlanet washing powder in water, at the temperature allowed by the care label. Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part.
  • Wash as usual.
  • If the stain remains, repeat the above steps.
  • If its allowed by the care label, soak the cloth for 20-30 minutes in 5 liters of wash solution prepared by dissolving 1 scoop/cup of Chlorine, at the temperature allowed by the care label. Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part. Rinse with water and wash as usual.
  • Turn the garment inside out. Put few drops of nail polish remover on the back of the stain. Always check on an inside seam or other inconspicuous part for colorfastness.
  • Press the stain onto a clean cloth or on 2-3 pieces of kitchen towel to absorb the polish.
  • Wash it quickly with planet detergent at the temperature allowed by the care label.
  • Attention: Do not apply the above procedures on synthetic fabrics such as acetate, triacetate or rayon.
  • If the stain is fresh, cover it with baby powder.
  • Rub it gently with your fingers on the fabric. Let the powder remain for 20-30 minutes and then brush it off.
  • Wash the cloth with myPlanet washing powder, at the temperature allowed by the care label.
  • Rub stain area with fresh lemon juice and table salt (no iodine contained).
  • Leave it in direct sunlight for an hour.
  • Wash as usual with myPlanet
  • Rub stain area gently with myPlanet laundry liquid.
  • Wash as usual, at the temperature allowed by the care label.
  • Soak the cloth overnight in 5 liters of wash solution prepared by dissolving 1 scoop/cup of myPlanet detergent in water, at the temperature allowed by the care label.
  • Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part.
  • Wash garment as usual with myPlanet detergent, at the temperature allowed by the care label.
  • If the stain is dry, remove loose remnants by scraping them off with the blunt side of a knife.
  • Turn the garment inside out and flush the stain out under cold running water.
  • Soak the cloth overnight in 5 liters of a wash solution prepared by dissolving 1 scoop/cup of myPlanet washing powder in water at the temperature allowed by the care label. Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part.
  • Wash as usual.
  • Place the stained area from its backside under cold running water to wash off the stain.
  • Wash garment as usual with myPlanet washing powder.
  • If the stain persists, let the cloth soak overnight in 5 liters of wash solution prepared by dissolving 1 scoop/cup of myPlanet washing powder in water, at the temperature allowed by the care label. Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part. Wash as usual.
  • Allow the candle wax to dry and carefully scrape off as much as you can with the blunt edge of a knife.
  • Place the stain area between 2-3 pieces of paper towel, and then press a warm iron (without steam) to melt the remaining wax so that the papers can absorb it. Change paper towel several times to prevent wax from setting back to the garment. Let the garment cool.
  • Wipe off the stain area with a few drops of cleaning benzine or white spirit, and then remove residual wax by pressing it between two pieces of absorbent paper towel. Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part.
  • Wash garment with myPlanet washing powder, at the temperature allowed by the care label.
  • Place your garment in a plastic bag and put it inside the freezer until the chocolate becomes quite hard.
  • Scrape off as much as possible with the blunt side of a knife. Wipe gently with a sponge dampened in warm detergent solution. Wash garment as usual with myPlanet detergent, at the temperature allowed by the care label.
  • If the stain persists, let the cloth soak overnight in 5 liters of wash solution prepared by dissolving 1 scoop/cup of myPlanet detergent in water, at the temperature allowed by the care label. Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part.
  • Wash as usual.
  • Remove the stain by wiping it with a wet cloth dampened with white vinegar.
  • If this doesn’t work, soak only the stained part of the garment in alcohol for one hour. Remember to check first the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part.
  • If the stain remains, rub it lightly with a liquid laundry detergent and soak it overnight in 5 liters of wash solution prepared by dissolving 1 scoop/cup of myPlanet washing liquid in water, at the temperature allowed by the care label. Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part.
  • Wash as usual.
  • If the stain is fresh, cover it with talc.
  • Rub it gently with your fingers on the fabric.
  • Let the powder remain for 20-30 minutes and then brush it off.
  • Wash garment as usual with myPlanet detergent, at the maximum temperature allowed by the care label.
  • Soak the cloth overnight in 5 liters of a wash solution prepared by dissolving 1 scoop/cup of myPlanet washing liquid in water at the temperature allowed by the care label.
  • Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part.
  • Wash as usual.
  • Place the garment with the stain facing downward, on a dry cloth or 2-3 pieces of paper towel.
  • Put a few drops of alcohol on the back of the stain and, with the help of an absorbing white and dry cloth, remove the ink. Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part. Repeat the stain-removal procedure until no further ink comes off.
  • Soak the cloth overnight in 5 liters of wash solution prepared by dissolving 1 scoop/cup of myPlanet detergent in water, at the temperature allowed by the care label. Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part.
  • Wash as usual.
  • If the stain is fresh, turn the garment inside out and place it under cold running water to flush the stain out and then wash it right away with myPlanet detergent.
  • For old or stubborn stains, soak the cloth overnight in 5 liters of wash solution prepared by dissolving 1 scoop/cup of myPlanet detergent in water, at the temperature allowed by the care label.
  • Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part.
  • Wash the cloth with myPlanet detergent, at the temperature allowed by the care label.
  • Flush the stain out under cold running water.
  • Wash the garment with myPlanet washing powder.
  • If the stain persists, let the garment soak for a half hour in a wash solution prepared by dissolving 1 scoop/cup of myPlanet washing powder in water at the temperature allowed by the care label. Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part.
  • If the mud is still wet, turn the garment inside out and place it under cold running water to flush the dirt out.
  • If the mud is dry, brush it off gently to remove most of it.
  • Wash the cloth with myPlanet washing powder, at the temperature allowed by the care label.
  • If the stain remains, soak the cloth overnight in 5 liters of wash solution prepared by dissolving 1 scoop/cup of myPlanet detergent in water, at the temperature allowed by the care label. Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part. Wash the cloth with myPlanet detergent, at the temperature allowed by the care label.
  • Turn the garment inside out. Put a few drops of paint thinner or white spirit on the back of the stain. Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part.
  • Press the stain on a clean cloth or 2-3 pieces of paper towel to absorb the paint.
  • Wash the garment with myPlanet laundry liquid, at the temperature allowed by the care label.
  • Attention: Do not apply the above procedures on synthetic fabrics such as acetate, triacetate or rayon.
  • Treat the stain quickly before it dries.
  • Turn the fabric inside out.
  • If the paint is soluble in water place the stained area under cold running water to wash off the paint.
  • If the paint is not soluble in water, place the garment with the stain facing downward, on a dry cloth or 2-3 pieces of paper towel. Put a few drops of paint thinner (white spirit or other) on the back of the stain and, with the help of an absorbing white and dry cloth, remove the paint. Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part. Wash as usual with myPlanet detergent, at the temperature allowed by the care label.
  • Check the garment for colorfastness, at all stages, by testing on an inconspicuous part.
  • Prepare a cleaning solution by dissolving a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid in a cup of warm water in which you have added 3-4 drops of ammonia. Wipe the stain with a water-dampened cloth.

  • Check the garment for colorfastness, at all stages, by testing on an inconspicuous part.
  • Prepare a cleaning solution by dissolving a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid in a cup of warm water in which you have added 3-4 drops of white vinegar. Wipe the stain with a water-dampened cloth.

  • Wash the garment immediately at the temperature allowed by the clothes care label.
  • If you notice any discoloration of the stained fabric and the stain is recent use 3-4 drops of ammonia. If the stain is an old one use white vinegar. Rinse with water and wash as usual.
  • If the stain is dry, scrape off as much as possible with the blunt side of a knife.
  • Place the stained area from its backside under cold running water to wash off the stain. Wash garment as usual with myPlanet detergent.
  • If the stain persists, soak garment overnight in 5 liters of wash solution prepared by dissolving 1 scoop/cup of myPlanet washing powder in water, at the temperature allowed by the care label. Always check the garment for colorfastness, by testing on an inconspicuous part.
  • Wash garment as usual with myPlanet detergent.
  • Mop up any excess liquid and cover the stain with salt.
  • Leave it to absorb the wine for 30 minutes.
  • Then sponge the mark with detergent and rinse with cold water.
