The most common stains and how to deal with them.
The most common stains and how to deal with them.

Most stains can be completely removed from your garments, preserving their good look and increasing their lifetime. Stains are just a chemical reaction between the staining material(s) and the fibers or the fabrics finishing coating. Since there are many types of fabrics, no single product can remove all types of stains.

If you act fast and wash the garment normally, you increase the possibility of removing the stain completely. Of course, some stains are stubborn and hard to remove, and they require special attention. Stain removing products are available in the market. If you decide to use one of them, make sure that it is the right one for the type of stain you wish to remove.

We have developed a set of instructions to help you remove various stains. If you follow these instructions carefully, and act before the stain dries, you stand greater chance of success. Consult the file with our instructions and find out how to remove difficult stains from your garments.

  • Carefully read the instructions provided on the garments care label.
  • Carefully read all phases of treating stains before you attempt to apply them. If you are having difficulty understanding a particular point, it is wiser not to apply the instructions, but instead to consult a professional cleaner for assistance.
  • Before applying any type of liquid (water, solvent, detergent solution, bleach etc) on the garment, pre-test it on an inconspicuous area. Use a clean white cloth and rub it gently on the stain. If you notice color on the white cloth or any discoloration of the stained fabric, it would be better to consult a professional cleaner for assistance.
  • If you are going to use solvents (alcohol, ether, etc.), do this only in a well-ventilated area where there is no danger of electric sparks from freezers or fans, etc., and naturally keep it away from fire. Do not smoke. If you spill solvent on your skin or clothes, wash immediately with plenty of water.
  • Do not use metal items (e.g., spoons or metallic containers) with chlorine bleach products.
  • Do not use chlorine/bleach on woolens, silks or leather garments.
